Description General description ABTS is considered a safe sensitive substrate for horseradish peroxidase based ELISA systems. The blue-green color produced by enzymatic activity can be quantitated at 405-410 nm. The reaction can be stopped by addition of acid and evaluated at unstopped wavelengths. The reagent system can be compared to TMB if the reaction is allowed to progress for 30 minutes.
