Activin B is a transforming growth factor (TGF)-β family member._x000D_ Biochem/physiol Actions_x000D_ Activin A and B plays a vital role in regulation of inflammation and muscle mass. Both activin A and B have a potential to act as a serum markers of chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME). Mutation in actin B gene is associated with the development of pre-clampsia. Serum levels of activin B can be used to differentiate tubal ectopic pregnancy (tEP) from intrauterine miscarriages (IUM) and normal viable intrauterine pregnancy (IUP)._x000D_ Physical form_x000D_ Sterile filtered through a 0.2 micron filter.
