Description; General description; Tumor protein p53 binding protein (T153BP1) is mapped to human chromosome 15q15.3.[1] It has methylated histone-binding module and tandem tudor domains.[2]; Immunogen; synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 1955-1972 of human 53BP1, conjugated to KLH via an N-terminal added cysteine residue. T153BP1 also plays a key role in DNA repair by mediating nonhomologous end-joining (NHEJ) near double stranded breaks (DSBs).[3] Fusion of T153BP1 with platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRβ) is implicated in a type of myeloproliferative disorder accompanied with eosinophilia.[4]
