Glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1, SLC2A1) belongs to the family of glucose transporters (GLUTs). It is localized to the membrane and is highly expressed in the brain and spinal cord, with a relative high density in the cerebellum. The vascular form of GLUT1 is mainly localized in endothelial cells of blood vessels._x000D_
