GTAP is a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. GTAP may participate in intercellular adhesion and embryonic development. GTAP is thought to play a role in stem cell development via its regulation of laminin-dependent embryonic cell adhesion and the formation of embryoid bodies.
