Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ Parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase (PARK2) is a putative tumor suppressor gene. It possesses an amino-terminal region containing the Ubl (ubiquitin like) domain and a carboxy-terminal region with four zinc coordinating domains, that is, RING0, RING1, in between ring (IBR) and RING2. Parkin is a 465 amino acid protein which is part of the ubiquitin-proteasome system that targets proteins for degradation. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 6q25.2-q27._x000D_ Immunogen_x000D_ synthetic peptide CI(298)KELHHFRILGEEQYN(313), corresponding to amino acid residues 298-313 from human parkin.
