Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ Anti-Rabex-5 (N-terminal) is produced in rabbit using as immunogen a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at N-terminal of human Rabex-5, with an added cysteine, conjugated to KLH. Rabex-5 contains multiple functional domains, including a vacuolar protein sorting-associated (VPS9) domain that possesses the GDP/GTP exchange factors (GEF) activity, a ubiquitin-binding A20-like zinc finger (ZnF) domain, and a coiled-coil domain._x000D_ Application_x000D_ Anti-Rabex-5 (N-terminal) antibody may be used in immunoblotting and immunofluorescence._x000D_ Physical form_x000D_ Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide._x000D_ Disclaimer_x000D_ Unless otherwise stated in our catalog or other company documentation accompanying the product(s), our products are intended for research use only and are not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals._x000D_ Biochem/physiol Actions_x000D_ Rabex-5 forms a tight complex with Rabaptin-5 that is essential for endocytic membrane fusion. The bound Rabaptin-5 to Rabex-5 increases the GEF activity of Rabex-5 and fastens the generation of the active GTP-bound form of membrane associated Rab5.
