The encoded protein consists of 204 amino acids and has a molecular mass of 23,421,000 Mr. In mammals, three RhoGDI isoforms exists: RhoGDIα, RhoGDIβ and RhoGDIγ. RhoGDIα is widely expressed. RhoGDIβ is mainly expressed in hematopoietic cells and RhoGDIγ is present in the brain, lung, kidney and testis._x000D_ Rho proteins are basically described as guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (GNBPs).
