Description; General description; UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase 2 (UGP2) is an intermediary enzyme that transports glucose from glucose-1-phosphate to MgUTP. Studies in pigs have revealed that UGP2 is highly expressed in the liver and skeletal muscle cells.
