Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ ZNF211 (zinc finger protein 211) belongs to the C2H2-type zinc finger protein family. These proteins are made of an anti-parallel β sheet containing two conserved cysteine residues, and an α-helix including two conserved histidine residues. These two form a globular domain, which contains a central zinc atom. It is one of the largest gene families containing some 300-500 genes in humans. ZNF211 contains 380 amino acids, and has a predicted molecular weight of 44kDa. It has 11 C2H2-type zinc finger motifs.
