Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ This proficiency testing sample is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. All information regarding the use of this material can be found in the reporting packet supplied for each sample._x000D_ Preparation Note_x000D_ Randomly contains a minimum 80% of the analytes listed._x000D_ This PT sample is packaged as a 1.5 mL concentrate._x000D_ The solvent for This sample is acetone._x000D_ The PT sample is not preserved_x000D_ Sample preparation_x000D_ This ampule contains a concentrate of Base/Neutral compounds in acetone._x000D_ When prepared according to instructions, the concentration of each analyte will be less than 200 ug/L._x000D_ To prepare solution, add 1L of reagent water to a 2L separatory funnel._x000D_ Open ampule PE1171-2ML (be careful to avoid cuts on glass) and transfer exactly 1.0mL of the concentrate to the separatory funnel._x000D_ Mix well._x000D_ The sample is now ready for analysis._x000D_ For calculations, assume initial sample volume was 1000 mL._x000D_ Matrix Modifier_x000D_ MMW-001 is intended to modify the products to simulate a waste water sample._x000D_ The final dilution will replace the use of DI (Reagent Grade) water for the prepartion of the appropriate CRM/QC sample._x000D_ The sample will add turbidity and TSS to the final volume. These do not affect the properties of the analytes of interest in the final sample if prepared according to instructions._x000D_ Note filtration may be necessary as required by your method._x000D_ To use the matrix modifier simply mix Waste Water Matrix Modifier as specified in the MMW-001 instructions. Use this solution in place of the reagent grade water in the instructions above._x000D_ Other Notes_x000D_ Proficiency testing samples are presented as single blind. No values for the samples are released unti the testing period concludes.
