Description General description A fluorogenic substrate for caspase-9 (ICE-LAP6, Mch6). May also act as a substrate for caspase-4 and caspase-5. Reaction can be monitored visually or quantitatively by a blue to green shift in fluorescence upon cleavage of the AFC fluorophore. A fluorogenic substrate for caspase-9 (ICE-LAP6, Mch6). Reaction can be monitored visually or quantitatively by a blue to green shift in fluorescence upon cleavage of the AFC fluorophore (excitation maximum: ~400 nm; emission maximum: ~505 nm). Packaging 1 mg in Glass bottle 5 mg in Plastic ampoule Biochem/physiol Actions Cell permeable: no Primary Target A fluorogenic substrate for caspase-9 Product does not compete with ATP. Reversible: no Warning Toxicity: Standard Handling (A) Sequence Ac-Leu-Glu-His-Asp-AFC Physical form Supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt. Reconstitution Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -20°C. Other Notes Ito, A., et al. 1999. Biochim. Biophys. Acta 1452, 263. Thornberry, N.A., and Lazebnik, Y. 1998. Science 281, 1312. Thornberry, N.A., et al. 1997. J. Biol. Chem. 272, 17907.
