Description General description The structure of copper(I) chloride is similar to zinc-blende crystal at room temperature, at 407 °C the structure is wurtzite and at still higher temperature it forms copper(I) chloride vapor as determined by mass spectroscopy. Application CuCl may be used as an initiator for hydrostannation of α,β-unsaturated ketones and other similar radical reactions.
