Description General description Farnesene (mixture of isomers) may contain sequiterpenes, trans-β-farnesene, cis-α-farnesene, trans-α-farnesene, and bisabolene. α-Farnesene is reported to be an oviposition stimulant for Laspeyresia pomonella, while trans-β-farnesene as a feeding stimulant for Lutzomyia longipalpis.
