GS87 potently inhibits growth of AML cells in mice with little effect on normal bone marrow cells. GS87 causes terminal differentiation of AML cells._x000D_ GS87 regulates target proteins, that participates in the multiplication and differentiation of cells, much efficiently than lithium and SB. It helps to initiate mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling, that is required for its differentiation activity. GS87 is considered as a candidate for clinical acute myeloid leukemia (AML) differentiation therapy.
