Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ Ribonucleotide reductase catalytic subunit M1 (RRM1) is the catalytic subunit of ribonucleotide reductase (RR) enzyme and is widely expressed. The RRM1 gene is mapped to human chromosome 11p15.4._x000D_ Immunogen_x000D_ RRM1 purified recombinant protein_x000D_ Physical form_x000D_ Solution in Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium with 10% fetal calf serum and 15 mM sodium azide._x000D_ Disclaimer_x000D_ Unless otherwise stated in our catalog or other company documentation accompanying the product(s), our products are intended for research use only and are not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals._x000D_ Biochem/physiol Actions_x000D_ Ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) is a key enzyme maintaining the deoxy nucleotide triphosphate (dNTP)-pool. The ribonucleotide reductase catalytic subunit M1 (RRM1) catalysis the reduction of ribonucleotides to deoxyribonucleosides, required for DNA synthesis and repair. It is known to induce phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) mediated metastasis suppression. RRM1 indicates non‐small cell lung carcinoma and pancreatic cancer. RRM1 plays a role in gemcitabine resistance.
