Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ This proficiency testing sample is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. All information regarding the use of this material can be found in the reporting packet supplied for each sample._x000D_ Preparation Note_x000D_ The sample consists of one PUF (polyurethane foam) plug that has been spiked with a single PCB aroclor._x000D_ Sample preparation_x000D_ Remove plug from the 20 mL VOA vial. Use caution, free liquid may be present._x000D_ Place the PUF plug into the extraction glassware to be used._x000D_ Rinse the VOA vial that contained the PUF plug with the extraction solvent to be used at least three times to transfer the entire contents of the vial._x000D_ Extract the sample using your normal procedures._x000D_ Other Notes_x000D_ Proficiency testing samples are presented as single blind. No values for the samples are released until the testing period concludes.
