Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ Phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC) from Bacillus cereus is a 298 residual protein. It belongs to the class of ubiquitous enzymes. PI-PLC is characterized with a single globular domain and it folds into eight (βα) barrel sheets, out of which only six βα units are found in barrel, lacking helices between strands IV and V and V and VI._x000D_ Application_x000D_ Phospholipase C, Phosphatidylinositol-specific from Bacillus cereus has been used to cleave GPI-anchored protein from green fluorescent protein- glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GFP-GPI) from the cell membrane.
