Description_x000D_ General description_x000D_ Anti-von Willebrand Factor is produced in rabbit using purified von Willebrand factor (factor VIII R:Ag) as the immunogen._x000D_ Human von Willebrand factor (factor VIII R:Ag) is a 270 kDa multimeric plasma gylcoprotein. The von Willebrand factor has functional binding domains to platelet glycoprotein Ib, glycoprotein IIb/IIIa, collagen and heparin. The factor is synthesized by endothelial cells and is also present in platelets and megakaryocytes._x000D_ Specificity_x000D_ The antibody specifically reacts with the cytoplasm of human endothelial cells from normal and neoplastic blood and from lymphatic vessels. It also reacts with human endocardium, platelets and megakaryocytes.
