Description General description S-(4-Azidobutyl)thioacetate is used as a precursor in the formation of organic self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on metals. They are chemisorbed onto metal surfaces to form self-assembled monolayers with a high degree of structural order. They are often used as a molecular template to form functional nanostructures. Application Used in the formation of Self-Assembled Monolayers on gold electrodes to modify its work function. Packaging 1 g in glass bottle Features and Benefits High chemical stability in air or solution. Prevents undesirable oxidation of thiol groups in oxygen containing atmosphere. Forms homogeneous interface structure in SAMs.
