Description General description Caution: may contain trace amounts of intact toxin. The C-terminal binding portion of the chain of tetanus toxin. The intact toxin is known to block neurotransmitter release at inhibitory synapses in cultured spinal cord cells. Shows trans-synaptic retrograde transport in the central nervous system. Caution: may contain trace amounts of intact toxin. Follow the handling procedure described in the information that accompanies the product. Reconstitution Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage or refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage. Once an aliquot has been thawed, do not refreeze. Aqueous stock solutions are stable for 7-10 days at 4°C.
